Anna Skinner, PhD is the Founder and President of Black Moon, LLC. Dr. Skinner's professional experience and advisory services center around her technical expertise in human-computer interaction (HCI), human-robot interaction (HRI), and simulation-based training.
In addition to technical expertise, Anna possesses exceptional interpersonal and business development skills. Throughout her career, Anna has developed and maintained strong professional ties and networks within the military, industry, and academia, and has established herself and the company as a proven performer across multiple funding organizations and collaborating institutions.
Our Name
“Black Moon” is the colloquial term for the second new moon in a single calendar month, occurring equally rarely as a blue moon (approximately every 32 months). This infrequent celestial event represents new beginnings and opportunities, and unlike a blue moon cannot be seen from Earth (with the exception of during a solar eclipse).
